2 Cor. 9:6-7
But this I say; He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Why do we tithe?

• It is biblical

Genesis 14:18-20 Then Melghizedek King of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said:
“Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”
And he gave him a tithe of all.

• It reflects your heart

Math. 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Tithe

• Giving of your first fruits
Prov. 3:9-10 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

Offerings

Designated gifts above your firstfruits. Example, missions, food bank, building fund, outreaches and many others.

How you can tithe at Calvary

• Tithe boxes
There are tithe boxes located in the foyers when you enter church as well as tithe boxes in the sanctuary.

• On-line giving
You can go to our website at www.ccspringvalley.org and click on “giving”.

•“Mail” in tithe or “Bill pay” through your bank.
