Ministry Information As Christians, we believe the most important decision one will ever make is to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Only in Him do we find true life, only in Him do we find our highest calling and purpose. In living our lives for Jesus, perhaps the next highest calling is that of a Christ-centered marriage that glorifies Jesus. Through marriage, God desires to give the world a picture of His great love for us and His commitment toward the whole of humanity, and also to give witness of the union between Jesus and His bride, the church. As such, when a man and a woman commit to live in a covenant relationship, establishing a permanent union while they live their lives here on Earth, the Bible tells us “the two become one flesh.” In God’s design for marriage, a husband and wife are bound together for life, a life that should display oneness of purpose, love and mutual respect. A marriage established in the Lord produces companionship unlike any other between a man and a woman, even in the midst of confusion, hardship, or trials. Marriage By God’s Design is a seven week course offered to couples who desire to be married at Calvary Chapel Spring Valley that provides the foundation for a successful marriage established in Christ. It is our desire that, during this seven week course, you would determine in your heart to receive the full counsel of God’s Word for marriage and be diligent to put it into practice in your life. If you do, He will have a profound effect in the areas of your finances, communication, roles, expectations, and every other marriage topic that will be discussed. It is our conviction that in Jesus we find hope for a great marriage relationship and life more abundant. Wedding dates will not be set prior to your completion of this course.
